Cairo – Mubasher: Loans provided by Egypt’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) to women surged by 84.98% in four years, according to a statement issued by the cabinet on Wednesday.
MSMEDA’s funding to women operating 118,806 projects reached EGP 1.885 billion in 2018, compared to EGP 1.019 billion to 88,564 projects in 2015, the statement added.
A total of 351,578 women benefited from such funding from the period from February 2016 to January 2019.
